TAMI'S LIFE & COMMUNITY
Tami worked with the City of Rexburg to co-organize the first Miracle Makeover contest, which included a new wardrobe, hair style, dental work, and dermatology services. The contest ran for 5 consecutive years. When local teacher pay was cut, Tami sought out donations from other community businesses to help alleviate the financial impact on teachers. She has participated in school fundraiser events, judged local beauty pageants, and has been a frequent advisor to pageant contestants on beauty and grooming.
Tami presented at TEDx and TEDx Youth talks on the topic of beUtofullness (We Are All Exactly, Differently the Same). You are invited to view them on our Videos page.
In addition to Tami's efforts and expertise being appreciated and helpful for so many people, her work has also been acknowledged by several organizations. The interest in her book during the first week of its release was so high that:
- Tami was invited to attend the International Book Conference.
- Tami was honored to be nominated as Idaho Woman Entrepreneur of the Year in multiple years.
- Her salon was highlighted by the Better Business Bureau.
- Tami was the grateful recipient of a Distinguished Service Award from the local public school district.
Tami’s life is beUtofull because her roles of wife, mother, daughter, neighbor, friend, and volunteer are the priorities she has honored and treasured her whole life. As much as she loves beauty and the fashion industry, teaching the true principles of beauty is more important because as a mother, friend, and neighbor, she wants those she loves to have a true perspective and embrace their own beUtofullness life.
