Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday. Did you take advantage of all this shopping? Businesses want and need us to spend our money .
Beauty products are huge gifts during the holiday season, but there is definitely some do' s and don'ts associated with these gifts .
Cheap lotion, makeup, and lip gloss seem to be the favorites for stocking stuffers and friend gifts. But here is something to think about. If you are spending the same money for these gifts as you are on a bottled water or a soda, you might want to rethink this option.
Inexpensive beauty products are normally alcohol, smell, and color. It will do more damage than good. First, let's talk lotion. You want your lotion to feed your skin and help you smell better. The cheaply made lotion uses mineral oil, alcohol, and cheap smell. You might smell good for an hour, but then the lotion will attract environmental toxins and make you have a stinky resin on your skin. Not only that, but it will also dry your skin more, making you consume more product with worse results.
Now, let's address the huge makeup case with huge pallets of eye color, blush, and skin toned makeup. These are fun and made inexpensively as well. The pigment will not stay on your skin long and will make you use a lot to get the result you are trying to get. However, if you have youth in your life these are good for them to experiment with. I recommend purchasing these with a really good makeup primer and eye color primer. This will protect the skin and help the pigment to show up.
Lastly, we come to cheap lip gloss. This is the least damaging of all the beauty purchases. They do not stay on long and give a quick shine to your lips. Be an informed shopper; take the time to get them something a little better.
When it comes to beauty products, less is more. One nice lotion is way better than 5 bad lotions. One good primer for your skin with some makeup is better than a huge makeup pallet and nothing to protect your face.
